Having and dealing with panic attacks can be a really stressful time. During a panic attack, you usually focus on what can happen, and most commonly, you probably imagine the worst case scenario happening such as having a heart attack or even dying.


But, its important to keep in mind that none of these actually happen and that you will be start feeling better soon. Thus, when a panic attack happens, try to keep in mind that everything will be fine soon and that nothing bad will happen.


So what can you do when those feeling of anxiety creep up on you and your chest starts to tighten?

Tip 1 - Whats behind your panic attack? When you are having a panic attack think about the reason you're having one. Was it something you ate? Who did you spend time with? What were you thinking about just before it happened? Once you feel better, try to write down everything that might have affected your state of mind and led up to the panic attack and then narrow down the reasons. The first part of battling anxiety and your panic attacks is to identify all the different signs and symptoms of your specific panic attacks. Once you know all the signals, you will be able to tell when you are beginning to feel a panic attack. This will help immensely.


Tip 2 - After a panic attack, you will feel particularly anxious. That is why it is important that immediately after your attack you try to relax your body in several ways. You should try to implement steady breathing and full breathing to help relax your body and steady your heart beat.
